The symposium is also a milestone for the Institute as it celebrates its 50th anniversary. Titled The Future of Fishery Science in North America, the symposium will examine fishery science in North America as it is today and what opportunities and challenges may lay ahead over the next ten years. Dr. Wendy Watson-Wright, ADM Science, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, and Dr. Bill Hogarth, Director, NOAA Fisheries Service, will deliver the keynote addresses. The symposium is co-sponsored by NOAA Fisheries Service, Sea Grant, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, and North Pacific Research Board. Drs. Dick Beamish, Brian Rothschild, Steve Murawski, Bill Fox, John Boreman, and Linda Jones (Conveners) are seeking contributed papers, abstracts, and/or posters for presentation at the symposium.
